Celebrating World Behavior Analysis Day: March 20

At Powerback Pediatrics we celebrate behavior analysis every day, but especially on March 20th, which is recognized as World Behavior Analysis Day. 

Why March 20th?

The date March 20 was selected for World Behavior Analysis Day because it is the birthdate of B.F. Skinner, the founder of contemporary behavior analysis. Happy Birthday, B.F. Skinner!  B.F. Skinner laid the groundwork for applied behavior analysis through his research and helped to shape the field.  Although ABA has evolved significantly, we can thank B.F Skinner for his contributions to the field.

What can you do to celebrate? 

• Educate yourself on the practice of behavior analysis and the field. 
• Listen to podcasts or watch videos about the history and evolution of behavior analysis. 
• Share on social media how behavior analysis has helped you or a loved one.

• Attend a conference, CEU, or workshop to build on your behavior analytic skills.
